Do you want a quick start for your business then join a mastermind group.
What is a mastermind group? In summary, this is a group of people working together for the betterment of each other. They have one goal, they may not be doing similar things but it is in the interest of the whole group that they succeed.
The idea of mastermind group, thanks to Napoleon Hill, ( that is from my small History search before this post), is one of the powerful things that can propel one to success.
The question of joining mastermind group is one that I asked myself after realizing I needed support and interaction.
One can have a coach or a mentor but I realized the cheapest of them charge five hundred dollars per hour for consultation. I just could not afford that.
I joined Self Starters Weekly Elite mastermind group and I have realized, this is something I should have done earlier. It has made me take actions with success in establishing my blog.
The following are some of the advantages of this mastermind group and applies to any good mastermind group.
- There is a lot of openness and interaction between members, for example I post a thread in the private forum and I get a myriad of answers. In addition the questions are private and not displayed to search engines and non-members . I can ask any question and post my ideas without any fear.
- The facilitator is available to help. Our facilitator Lynn Terry has over twelve years experience as an internet marketer, she is a guru, if you know what that term means . But she is always going through the threads and offering advice where necessary. This is very important as you choose a mastermind group to know that there is someone you can count on.
- The group is very affordable. This means I can stay for a very long time forming long lasting relationship with the members. If a group is expensive it is hard to stick in if your projects are not picking up in the early stages.
- I always feel like I am getting mentorship indirectly. I post my projects and ideas for critique and even ask for new ideas too. This is very rewarding for a newbie in internet marketing since there is so much to know for one to succeed.
- Since I joined this mastermind group I feel connected. This is a positive group of people that are concerned about my success. I take actions, it is like a third eye is watching me. I know I will succeed with this group.
- A very specific advantage to this group is the private brainstorming hour every Thursday. The group members discuss what they are doing and people can help in different was. For example suggestions on how to better ones website, blog or product. I look forward to this every Thursday.
- Resources, resources, resources. There are archives of the webinars in store, free downloads of learning materials, audios and other unique offers.
I can go on and on about the advantages of this mastermind group. The question you are asking is are there any disadvantages. Yes and no depending on how you look at it.
- It will consume some of your time. This is a group and you are not there to take you are there to share and help as you receive help too. so it is important that you check in frequently and see what you can gain from a post or what you can offer. For some this may not be what they want and so a mastermind group will not be their choice.
- If you are looking for a detailed personal coaching from the facilitator then this is not for you. A mastermind is a group and anyone can help you and you can help anyone. So if you are the type who wants personal attention then hire a coach.
- Ideas and projects are shared openly so if you are afraid that you have reinvented the wheel and cannot share, go solo.
- All the discussions are mostly online, there can be face to face on special occasions but everything else is via the internet. If you want a face to face help I suggest you form a mastermind group from the people around you like family and friends. But from experience I know this is easier said than done.
- This mastermind group is a not a membership site. If you must have oriented actions with pointers then pay for a membership group.
However you can be in a mastermind group and a membership group, this is what I have done I am in affiliatenaire getting lessons on being an affiliate marketer but at the same time . I am in the mastermind group.
It is a great combo for a quick start in internet marketing for me. To be successful you cannot work in a vacuum and being around positive people is a success booster.
