Home based internet marketing marketing and specifically Affiliate Marketing are my very recent new projects. I am keen to report how they are progressing in my new blog. I hope you will enjoy this journey with me.
Welcome to my internet marketing journal. This is my first blog post and it is an exciting undertaking since it is like my first step into the journey of one thousand miles or is it one thousand blog posts.
My journey into internet marketing, internet based affiliate marketing,making money online and working from home did not start with this first blog. It started sometime back before I never knew what blogging is all about or even setting up a word press blog.
In my own small world. I thought the only way to work home through an online platform was to create a product and sell. Like an e book. The problem was. I did not know how to quickly come up with an e book and I thought it was impossible to venture out if I did not have one.
As I continued with my search for ideas for thee-book , I came across people who then through their forums or products I got to meet others who opened my eyes to the wide array of business models you can have online.
I would like to briefly outline my journey. It is my first blog post and all about reflecting on the steps I have taken.
All about coaching and product creation.
My first step to knowing a home based internet marketing business is when I joined Dan Millers list at 48daystotheworkyoulove. His newsletters are full of inspiration and business ideas.
He has written physical books, e-books and produced audios and, mama, I thought this was the only best business model for internet marketing. But since I did not have an idea for an e-book, so I thought, I remained dormant. Broke and doomed. It is amazing how we are so wired to negative thoughts.
Even with his words and great quotes that I have the power to change my situation, I only believed, agreed, applauded but never ACTED. It is like this, I see the majority of us commenting on blogs of the minority who are making money, praising how great their work is. The question is what are you doing about it?
I am doing something now. Starting a blog and here it is. Thanks to Dan for letting me know you can work form home.
Working at home mums;
At the 48daysto the work you love website there was a small advert about a successful working at home mum. Carry Wilkerson of the barefoot executive. I joined her list too.
She is a woman of speed and full of very encouraging words and true life examples of success. I read all her newsletters, I still do, just like the 48days newsletter.
I wanted to join Carry Wilkerson but I still felt I had nothing to offer. Which in some words it can be summarized as the fear of failure or even better inferiority complex. I never made a decision or even tried.
However she made me believe I can work from home.
Membership site
Carry always did introduce new people and one day he had this webinar with someone called JimmyD. Brown to talk about membership sites. Up until then I had never heard of membership sites and I had not joined any, so I got interested.
From that webinar I joined Jimmy. D. Brown’s list. I also wanted to join membernaire which is a membership site run by Jimmy teaching how to make and run membership sites. After some two weeks I joined membernaire and I will be giving a review of this site in my coming posts. I am no longer in membernaire but I will definitely get back to it when I am ready.
Affiliate marketing;
In one of his emails Jimmy D. Brown emails talked about making money selling other peoples products. And light bulbs went off my head, it was a big revelation to me.
They do the production and the sales and all I have to do is market for them. I suddenly realized that this was going on all around me and I had not realized.
I got hooked and wanted to learn more so when he launched his affiliatenaire site to teach affiliate marketing. I joined.Check out my first review of affiliatenaire here. Affiliatenaire review, part1 wk1-4.
Blogging
This is my first blog post. I learnt how to set up a word press blog from the affiliatenaire lessons. Jimmy offers video supplements showing how to set up hosting, setup a word press blog and customize the blog.
My intention is to have my blogs very informative and full of value. If you want to learn affiliate marketing and you are new to internet marketing I do recommend affiliatenaire, I joined the site and I continue to see value in it.
Jimmy D. Brown is considered one of the gurus in internet marketing and I hope to learn from him effective internet marketing strategies for my blogs.
I will continue with my journey in the next post. It has been slow for me but I know that I want to do internet based affiliate marketing, through blogging as my platform.
I share my journey to help someone make quick choices. If I can do it, I know anyone can. If only they take action.
