But before I proceed if you are a newbie to the internet world you may be asking what is the definition of web hosting?

Hostgator has different cheap hosting packages. I have the baby plan that is 9.95 per month and I host unlimited domains. I already have three domains for that price and I will continue to add more. Another advantage is the quick an easy word press installation. If you want to have a blog,you can be up and running immediately without paying any extra cost for someone to install wordpress for you. I really loved that.
Word press installation is done through the control panel where they have fantastico that installs wordpress on a hosted domain. Check out my basic steps to having a wordpress blog here.
They also have great customer service. Instead of calling them or sending emails that take long to be answered they have a chat room. You click on the chat room located at the upper corner of their homepage and get to post your question and within a short time you have help on your side. This is 24/7. I have got into the chat room at 3.am in the morning and got response.
Due to the cheap hosting packages so many people are using hostgator. Most of the people I talked to referred me to hostgator. Some people have been with hostgator for years. This means one thing, they are a cheap web hosting site that is providing quality hosting services.
On the negative side I have read some reviews with complaints that sometimes the web connections to a site can be down but they always try to correct them quickly. I have not encountered this problem yet.
