9 simple ways to spice the days of our lives!!

I wrote an article yesterday on how to use spices for good health, and I have been thinking all about spices and spicing. So I decided to do a blog post on how to spice our lives!!

Change your hairstyle. I do not know but a change in the hairstyle just seems to change even the outlook in life.  Life can  be better however dull it is now. Not some drastic change, even a new lotion with a spiced smell makes all the difference.

Look at yourself in the mirror and say to yourself. I am SPECIAL. I do not know about you but I need to remind myself  that I matter to myself, God and the world. This works like  a charm on those days that seems like you are a nobody.

Decide to do something good for someone. Maybe your friend, your children or your spouse even your enemy. Do something for your mother, sister or brother. It makes a lot of difference. It can be a simple email to say how special they are. It makes you feel better.

Take a moment of silence. There is so much going on and the only time we tune down is when you sleep.  However just actively taking 10-15 minutes of silence without thinking so much is a big boos to life in general. I love those moment, maybe because I have three children.  I think I loved it even before I had children.

Sit down and enjoy your food. Really. Yes. Most people do not sit down to enjoy their food. I consider eating to be very important. Our body needs the food.  You may not notice it but just sitting down without any technological distractions and enjoying a meal is sacred. It really makes you appreciate that you are alive and your life can be better if it is not.

Listen to motivational tapes. This is usually a big spice for me. If you can grab some tapes, CDs or just get into you tube and watch some motivational tapes makes such a big difference to how you look at life when you have hit it low. Count all the blessings in your life. However bad life is at the moment, the good thing is that you are alive and that is a blessing. If you ca sit down and count your blessings you will feel better. There are people in worse situations and they are not putting ropes on their necks to die.

Be thankful for you and then for all that is around you. I am thankful for my family. If anything I want them to know that I love them. If it seems like no one loves you, give love, give and give it more to those around you. You will reap a great reward when someone will appreciate how much you have cared. Forget about your cares for a moment and give love it will pay back.

Finally drink a cup of tea spiced with ginger and some pure honey.  Make sure it is in a nice looking cup that you love and sit down nicely and enjoy it.  Life is not a rehearsal it is the NOW.

    This post really hit home with me as I try to live like this and be grateful everyday for what I have. It’s a constant practice to think this way but it’s definitely worth the discipline it takes to keep those negative thoughts out and put a positive spin on them instead.
