Rediscover Yourself With a Blog

I am a stay at home mum and sometimes I forget myself. It seems my life is controlled by the laundry, school schedule, planning and preparing meals .Whoo! It can be hectic. When I found out that I can be able to do something from home sharing what I love, I sort of rediscover myself in a way and I am loving it. Blogging is the way to go.

It has been very simple. I joined an affiliate training program which introduced me to blogging. I have shared more about affiliatenaire training here. I learnt how to set up a word press blog even though the only thing I knew before then was how to check and send emails. I think the internet is a great resource for stay at home parents or people who have to be home to take care of aging parents or who have lost their jobs. It does not require a detailed CV to apply!   If you have an interest, a passion, an idea or experience you want to share you can set up a blog and then you can monetize the blog and make money on the side. It is fun.

What passions did you have, what are good at. I believe each one of us has a something of great value to share. And what better way than putting it on a blo. You can write a best seller later. A blog lets you share  information in small digestible bits and maybe later you can consolidate it and make it bigger. My childhood passion of writting has just been watered by blogging and it is growing.

It is sad how people are always duped into make money online scams. I was a victim. There is always this advert titled ‘make money with google‘ it is allover the internet. I once clicked on it and used my credit card to pay money only to realized it was a scam. I learnt my lesson. So I decided to join a mastermind group. The best decision I have made so far. A group of people who are willing to answer all my questions. I pay 27 USD per month and I so not regret. It is run by Lynn Terry a stay at home mum who has been doing online business for like twelve years. Here is my email interview with Lynn Terry of self starters weekly tips, click here.

One of the ladies in my mastermind grump has come up with a specialized training for wordpress it is called wordpress orientation, I just love it and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in starting a blog and developing it further to get value from it.

There are so many business that one can start online. The one that are easy to start is niche blogging and Affiliate Marketing. You can also buy and sell websites but it needs some experience.

The joy of knowing I can develop myself through blogging is great. If I can make money on the side then I have killed two birds with one stone. In the long term if I have to get back to work, I will use my blogs and articles as a testimony of my skills. But from the people I am connected with no one who has been involved in this business has even gone back to get a job. The flexibility and the returns gets people hooked.

Newspapers and publishing houses are suffering due to the proliferation of digital products but blogging is flourishing, just look around all the big names on the internet game have a blog. The best part anyone interested can have their open blog and get really interested and devoted followers.  For example if you can share how you lost weight or dealt with cancer, maybe how you are coping with a special child. My interest is always in natural beauty products and alternative health and now blogging. I can talk all day about them.

I am setting up blogs allover the place and learning more and more about affiliate marketing. I have the freedom to be a mum and a boss too!

All the best to you,
Grace

I find reading blogs to be enjoyable because they depict real people telling stories about their lives that resonate. They provide a “Ah Ha” moment with the ability to think just a little bit deeper than your average news article.
