Ideas for new blog posts

Blogging is fun and very engaging bu I have realized that sometimes coming up with what to write in a blog post can be a challenge.  This is what happened to me sometime back.

Well, I went doing some research on how to easily go on blogging on my blogs, having new, interesting and informative posts.  I brainstormed and came up upon some pretty good ideas that I would like to share.

Foremost, the good thing with blogging is that the field is wide open when it comes to what information you offer on the Internet.

The first thing to consider is what you like to write about, talk about or an activity you love doing.   All of us have hobbies and likes as well as dislikes. You can write about these things from your perspective. Write enough blog posts on a specific topic and you might qualify as an expert in your area within online communities

There is a saying among blogger that content is king and I agree. People love to be informed and if they can come to one place and learn so much about what they love to do or want to do, then they will always want to come back. In addition if you do some good SEO on your blog posts then Google will love it too and thus you have new people always reading your posts.

The second thing I found out is,  to always have a reason for the blog post.  Is it to inform or entertain or both. It is always a bloggers’ choice. The question to ask is,why am I  writing the post?

If you are starting a blog and want to draw attention to your site, you’ll want to choose topics that will be interesting to fellow readers on the Internet. Surf the Web and research what topics are hot right now. Some topics that are always popular: fashion, celebrity news, new products and services , health issues and making money online. These categories in a particular topic will help you to generate a list of possible blog topics. Just get what is of interest to you and run with it.

Thirdly,in blogging there is also the aspect of creativity. Which makes blogging so much enjoyable. There is very little that is new under the sun.  Sometimes you can choose to write about topics that have been written before but put a new twist on it. Using your unique voice and personal examples, you can recycle it and come up with a very unique blog post.

One thing I do is to always write down any ideas that come into my head. I have a notebook handy all the time. Then when I have time I go on and write a draft. Ideas are galore, for example look  at your interests. Then move on to your job for ideas. Finally, what is your family up to? All of these people and interests make a good base for blog posts. Whatever fascinates you can turn into a new avenue to find blog topics.

Another thing that helps me a lot in coming up with blog posts is stories, life experiences. people love to know about others, people love to know why you do what you do. Sad or warm stories always captivate people. You can also use both positive and negative situations as a tool create how-to articles and give advice on a variety of topics.

Other sources for blog posts include; Reading books and magazines from the library or at home, listening to podcasts and webinars, talking to experts, church sermons or suggestions and questions from friends on a particular topic.

I  sometimes  get ideas  from the people I interact with in my elite  mastermind group.

Reading other blogs can also be a source of ideas,  not to copy what is written, but a blog post can spark an idea about a similar experience you had. A blog post can also be from an interview you have conducted with someone in your niche.

One can also do a video about what has happened to you or a product you are using or just maybe to say something that you think is of value to others in relation to your blog. I love watching videos in peoples blog. It also adds value since people connect with you more if you have a video.

Another way to have a blog post is to have case studies of the people you have met in person or online who are successful in your field. I always want to know how people are making money online from blogging. Case studies are a great way to attract readers.

Though it involves some research, you can have a blog post listing people or blogs of interest to you. Like women online marketers or young women entrepreneurs making money online. I would love a list on the women who are stay at home mums with three kids or more and are making money online.

Another interesting blog post is usually writing about your personal success online. Like writing about how much money you make online, or how much you are making monthly or what you expect to make. This always captures my interest in a blog and I am sure it does to many others. It is always listed in the most popular blog posts.

Product reviews is usually another blog post attraction.  Telling others about a product you have used, its bad a nd good sides is usually very informative. We all always want to know if someone has used a product before we buy it. I do this so much with shoes. I want to know if it is worth my money or not. And id I find a site with a review then I am sure to bookmark it.

PLR articles are also  a good way to get articles to post on a blog. It is important to note that it will need some creativity with the article to churn it out and give it a personal face. PLR articles makes it  very easy way to get ideas for blog posts.  For me PLR articles are such a help when I need to come up with a blog post so easily and still full of information intended for a very particular audience. I buy my PLR articles from easyPLR.com.

I have realized that what to write about in blog posts are available, taking the time to write may be the issues and that involves action. The possibilities are infinite if you keep an open mind and use all of the resources at your disposal.

To your success in blogging,

Grace.
